Today, we’re excited to relaunch Pocket Tutor. A lot has been happening behind the scenes over the past few months, even though we’ve been a little quiet on the comms.

First, we brought in a real developer to rebuild Pocket Tutor from the ground up. When I first built what I’ll call the “prototype,” I used a blend of no-code services to bring the web app to life. These services, though great in their own right, weren’t meant to handle the kind of load Pocket Tutor demanded. As a result, we had to rethink the structure to accommodate more tutors, students and lessons, all while avoiding sky-high costs for tools that just didn’t fit our use case.

To bring that vision to reality, we teamed up with Erencan, a fantastic developer that rebuilt Pocket Tutor from the ground up! Now, scaling is no longer a concern, and we’re excited for more students and tutors to discover the transformative convenience Pocket Tutor offers.

With the app up and running, I’m back in the driver’s seat, tweaking settings, experimenting with new designs, and ensuring tutors and students get the most out of this amazing platform.

I also thought the relaunch deserved a fresh new landing page. Since Pocket Tutor is a two-sided marketplace, I wanted to highlight our features from both the tutor’s and the student’s perspectives. So, go ahead and play with the toggles! You’ll also notice we’ve included real screenshots this time, something our previous page was missing.
